Man Reef – Exhibition by Kaidusa

Kaidusa is an artist and illustrator currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. While attending high school, Kai’s first point of contact with the gay community was through bathhouses, cruising, and clothing optional resorts in Los Angeles & Palm Springs, California, as at the time, most gay nightclubs only allowed 21+ patrons into their venues. 
This early exposure to the intimate world of gay eroticism mixed with his interests in marine biology and botany, have given rise to his colorful style which hints at a world where his inspiration, desire, fears and worries seem all to collide in a kaleidoscope of color and texture. A world where queer culture inhabits an ecosystem of pure fantasy, but from which upon closer inspection one can see all the vivid imagery is rooted and sprouted forth from a shared reality.
